Puppy whelping box

I was looking for a lighter, more portable, and easy-to-clean option for a whelping box for my springer spaniel (45#). This has worked perfectly. Nice size for my dog and has plenty of room for her and her nine puppies. I kept the shipping box and it will store much easier than its wooden and heavy predecessor!

Super easy to assemble, seems sturdy.

I ordered two of these (the two tier model) and the first one arrived with a cracked panel. We just turned the panel inward, so it's not visible. It wasn't worth the trouble to try to exchange it. The 2nd one was perfect. It took 5 minutes to assemble, by myself. It might have been a little less expensive to buy and cut some wood for a raised bed, but honestly...with the price of wood these days, it's not a huge difference in price. Plus these are pretty and ready to use in minutes. Other than the issue with a cracked panel, I was a little confused that the middle piece that separates the upper from lower deck, doesn't have a screw or something to keep it up top. So you have to fill the bottom with dirt and then put that piece in before filling the top deck. We ended up just adding a couple of screws to be sure it stayed in place. I don't know how long these will last, but for the look, the ease, and the price, I'm happy with the purchase.
